My inexperience was in shining form as I struggled to remove two screws from inside our dishwasher which needed to be cleaned…ew!

Once the filter screen was removed, I gave it a good scrub in hot and very soapy water, I cleaned out the trap inside the dishwasher and without bothering to throughly rinse the soap off I put all the pieces back together (I was so proud of myself).

Then I added some CLR to the dishwasher (I’ve never used it before, but it works in the commercials) and I put it on for a quick cycle and within seconds — BUBBLES!!

Suds literally filled the machine and were seeping out all over the floor, it took a long time to rid the kitchen and the damn thing of bubbles; however, when I was finished “fixing” it, the dishwasher was sparkling and ready to use.

So, I got myself ready and walked out the door and met a friend for two glasses of wine, a shared plate of nachos and a lovely piece of key lime pie (thanks again Julie! You’re the best!).
