I want to be an extrovert — I’m not.
I want to make small talk — I’m not always sure how.
I want to be invited — I’m often not, and usually that’s perfectly okay.
I want to be funny, ask good questions, and know exactly when to laugh — but those things don’t always come naturally to me.
After years of trying to be the person I thought I should be, I’m starting to realise it’s time to just be the weird, thoughtful, sometimes silly person I already am.
